Just what I have noticed that a movie star: Moniroth Chan is one of the active user in Google+ social network. She got more than 3500 users added her and almost every activity, she interacts a lot with users.

Google Plus in Cambodia is using for advertising than friends
Sabay today has published an article about no people in Cambodia interesting to use Google Plus much. Yes, of course, for me, I do not see many people in Cambodia using Google plus for normal communication or networking but they are using them for advertising their website, to publish content or expressing in general way opinion than the way they are using facebook for friends and family communication.
Why they are publishing content in Google+?
One first advantage of publishing content link in Google+ is about SEO (Search Engine Optimization), the link will be craw well by Google search engine.
The more people +1 on your link, the more people can search your content easily since it's recommended by many people.
For me, I don't see that facebook could index well your content since you have published many links in your profiles or page but Google + could do that like a charm.

Statistic About Google Plus Users in Cambodia, Do You Know?
Do you know how gplus users in Cambodia interact each others nowadays?
Here are some extracting statistic that might be very useful for some marketers of gplus.
Before getting into detail, what I have found from the statistic, there are a big number of young people in Cambodia playing Google Plus and mostly they are male with student occupation. They are here for looking for friends and networking.

The majority of users in Cambodia, 69%, fall into the 18-24 age range.
And mostly gplus users in Cambodia are students, 3 main origins to be noticed which are mostly from Phnom Penh, then Kampong Thom and Battambang but they are all living in Phnom Pen, in detail check out the source of the statistic.

Google is on top but not Google Plus for 2011
Accordingly to alexa, Google.com is still a top worldwide visited website over facebook which is in 2nd rank and yahoo, 4th rank and according to recent research tracking unique monthly visitors per month by Nielsen, statistic in United States.
In the report shows Google+ in 8th rank among all other social networks and blogs with only 8,207 Avg Number of Unique Visitors per month, comparing to facebook, 1st rank 137,644 visitors.
If we look back to Nielsen's report of June 2010, facebook got 127,011 visitors comparing to 2011 average visitors per month, facebook growth not much than 2010. This could be a good sign for other social networks such as Google+ to build the population in 2012 in my opinion.
In Cambodia, Alexa shows that facebook is still a popular access website even comparing to Google.
And the SocialBakers statistic also show a big growth of facebook users in Cambodia if compare to 2010.
