100 Profiles Most Popular in Cambodia [Statistics, Google+]

Do you want to know who are the top active and popular Google+ users in Cambodia?

In 2012, I have extracted the statistic about users in Cambodia once but since then I can't find a source to extract again.

Here, I found one but more specifically depending on circle counting data of each extracted profile from Google+ but it has been used globally as reference as well in some website.

A ghost to second crowded social network

According to ZDNet, now Google+ has moved up better now, it's no longer a ghost city any more.

Last year, many people dismissed Google's Google+ social network as a "virtual ghost town."That was then. This is now. According to GlobalWebIndex, Google+, with 343-million active users, has become the second largest social network globally. As Vic Gundotra, Google's senior VP of engineering, observed, "That is a lot of ghosts"

Of course, Facebook still has a massive lead, but Google+, with 343-million active users, is now the second most popular social network.

Happy New Year of 2013

Now Google plus has reached around 90 millions users and in Cambodia we have 31,354 users but facebook is now reached over 800 millions users. Google Plus needs to take further competition on facebook. Wish him a success with this great social network tool in 2013.

And our page also reach more than 3000 page view with more than +90 on Google plus page.

Statistic About Google Plus Users in Cambodia, Do You Know?

Do you know how gplus users in Cambodia interact each others nowadays?
Here are some extracting statistic that might be very useful for some marketers of gplus.

Before getting into detail, what I have found from the statistic, there are a big number of young people in Cambodia playing Google Plus and mostly they are male with student occupation. They are here for looking for friends and networking.

Wow, Male is 81.63% and Female only 17.52% ~ what the men are looking for ;) ?

The majority of users in Cambodia, 69%, fall into the 18-24 age range.

And mostly gplus users in Cambodia are students, 3 main origins to be noticed which are mostly from Phnom Penh, then Kampong Thom and Battambang but they are all living in Phnom Pen, in detail check out the source of the statistic.

Google is on top but not Google Plus for 2011

Accordingly to alexa, Google.com is still a top worldwide visited website over facebook which is in 2nd rank and yahoo, 4th rank and according to recent research tracking unique monthly visitors per month by Nielsen, statistic in United States.

A Nielsen study shows Google is the top digital U.S. web company, with more than 150 million visitors each month. The search giant’s nascent social network Google+, however, is not to credit for the majority of that traffic.

In the report shows Google+ in 8th rank among all other social networks and blogs with only 8,207 Avg Number of Unique Visitors per month, comparing to facebook, 1st rank 137,644 visitors.

If we look back to Nielsen's report of June 2010, facebook got 127,011 visitors comparing to 2011 average visitors per month, facebook growth not much than 2010. This could be a good sign for other social networks such as Google+ to build the population in 2012 in my opinion.

In Cambodia, Alexa shows that facebook is still a popular access website even comparing to Google.
And the SocialBakers statistic also show a big growth of facebook users in Cambodia if compare to 2010.

Our social networking statistics show that Facebook penetration in Cambodia is 3.04% compared to the country's population and 575.85% in relation to number of Internet users. The total number of FB users in Cambodia is reaching 449160 and grew by more than 119480 in the last 6 months.

Congrate! Google Plus got now 62 Million Users, Adding 625, 000 a day

According to Mashable.com news today, Google plus has now 62 million users and is adding 625,000 new users per day.

Paul Allen, a Google+ watcher and the founder of Ancestry.com, said G+ will reach 100 million users by Feb. 25, 2012 and 200 million by Aug. 3. By this time next year, G+ will have close to 300 million users.

Hitwise found that total visits to G+ hit 9.4 million for the week ending Dec. 17, the most recent full week it tracked.

We could see Google Plus need a long way to go for his competitor, facebook that currently has around 800 million users already, provided in socialbakers but between around 6 months period since Google+ launched, this number is a good start for the year 2012.


Google+ is a social network, was launched on June 28, 2011, in invitation-only which was intended for testing and on September 20, 2011, Google+ was opened to everyone 18 years of age or older without the need for an invitation.
