Goodbye Google+?

Now that Google+ architect Vic Gundotra is leaving the company, the social network that never was is reportedly dead. Its best team members are being moved to projects Google actually cares about, and the company's plans to transition G+ from a product to a platform is its way of saving face. Hopefully, Google+ will sink into the digital sea like an old wooden ship that can no longer sail.

Double Postings in Your Stream - Solved [Tip of The Day]

The same post can be shown twice on our profile if we post the same article to some Google+ Community, it could make people annoy when openning our profile's post tab. We can solve it by unticked a setting in profile setting:

Show your Google+ communities posts on the Posts tab of your Google+ profile

Note that without ticking this, your post on community page will not show on your profile, so you might need to manage your post twice if you need it on your profile posts.

In 2012, I have extracted the statistic about users in Cambodia once but since then I can't find a source to extract again.

Here, I found one but more specifically depending on circle counting data of each extracted profile from Google+ but it has been used globally as reference as well in some website.

Get Notification Right Away

Open Google+ this morning, got something new: "Never miss another post", you can manage the notification right away per each of your circle.

You can set where are the notification will deliver via your G+ settings, you can use email and phone.

And there is another setting related to that for each circle if it will deliver to phone or email?

That's the simple setting about notification in G+

Just my interesting during last few months, more people is communicating each other via Google plus​ more than usual.

People is starting to add each other into circle, join community and interacting to the community through sharing news, comment, placing photos etc.

Event organizers are now using Google Plus Event to meet the audiences and sharing in calendar.

Google Plus will growing more better in 2014, I believe!

Google+ app now available in Cambodia on iTune store

Few months ago I mentioned that Google+ app on iTune store was not available on Cambodia store but today I could install it and sound available world wide.

I did it on my iPad and it's working just fine with all my expected feature, especially photo instant upload, I love it than iCloud service!

A ghost to second crowded social network

According to ZDNet, now Google+ has moved up better now, it's no longer a ghost city any more.

Last year, many people dismissed Google's Google+ social network as a "virtual ghost town."That was then. This is now. According to GlobalWebIndex, Google+, with 343-million active users, has become the second largest social network globally. As Vic Gundotra, Google's senior VP of engineering, observed, "That is a lot of ghosts"

Of course, Facebook still has a massive lead, but Google+, with 343-million active users, is now the second most popular social network.

Google starts prompting Google+ Pages to create their own Communities, teases Pause button feature [NNW]

The Next Web has been reported that Google is iterating Google+ on the regular, with the latest changes appearing this Wednesday (the day of the week where most of the social network’s updates seem to rollout). Although the company only launched Communities last month, and in preview too, Google is already prompting Pages on the service to create their own Communities.

On the popup screen, the message stated as:

Google+ Communities

Google Plus's Brilliant Method - Proof That Google Plus Will Prevail

I just read a post about how Google's and Google plus's hand the power nowadays and future.

Of course, while Google plus came out people always keep asking [until now]:

Google plus has many feature similar to facebook except something so awesome like "Circle" are "good" and  “hangouts” are weird that lead most of tech. people have joint Google plus since they are really a new innovation of social network than facebook.

That's why Dave Llorens, the author of the original article has stated a very meaningful statement as

[...] Google Plus is really Google’s version of Google. [...]

[...] Google Plus is a way of entrenching Google’s dominance in that area, not a way of stealing Facebook users. [...]

[...] once Google Plus has every blogger, every small business, lots of gamers, lots of YouTubers, etc., actively using the product, they will continue to use all that new data to make even more of their products more awesome. [...]

GOOGLE PLUS’S BRILLIANT METHOD OF GAINING NEW USERS IS PLAYING OUT RIGHT IN FRONT OF OUR EYES, BUT NO ONE RECOGNIZES IT.

Google plus users would be more active in this 2013 since now just with the new feature of community page recently bring more lives to it so beautiful already.

Official Google+ Not Support in Apple Store for Cambodia

I just tried to install Google+ on my iPad with my Apple Store account created in Cambodia address but unfortunately it said something like "this app is not available in Cambodia store (only US), my account could only buy app in Cambodia store of Apple".

So bad for that...
In my Android phone, I have everything but in Apple store, I can't. I might need to search another store to have Google+ on my iPad, I guess.

One big advantage, I want for Google+ on Apple product is with photostream and storage, I hope it will synchronize my stuff on Google+ photos/videos as it does in Android phone.

Google+ for iPad just recently in July optimized and updated for iPad.

I want it!!!!

Happy New Year - GPlus 90 millions, Facebook 800 millions

Happy New Year of 2013

Now Google plus has reached around 90 millions users and in Cambodia we have 31,354 users but facebook is now reached over 800 millions users. Google Plus needs to take further competition on facebook. Wish him a success with this great social network tool in 2013.

And our page also reach more than 3000 page view with more than +90 on Google plus page.
We hope to reach more people and we will be back to work on our blog more often as well.

Google Plus in Cambodia is using for advertising than friends

Sabay today has published an article about no people in Cambodia interesting to use Google Plus much. Yes, of course, for me, I do not see many people in Cambodia using Google plus for normal communication or networking but they are using them for advertising their website, to publish content or expressing in general way opinion than the way they are using facebook for friends and family communication.

Why they are publishing content in Google+?
One first advantage of publishing content link in Google+ is about SEO (Search Engine Optimization), the link will be craw well by Google search engine.

The more people +1 on your link, the more people can search your content easily since it's recommended by many people.

For me, I don't see that facebook could index well your content since you have published many links in your profiles or page but Google + could do that like a charm.
